Bultaco M49 Sherpa T gearshift lever

Post by David Lahey »

This is to show the two possible shift levers that suit the two different clutch covers that were fitted to the M49. The first is the early one and is the first cover type shape for 5 speed (San Antonio 2) motors. It was fitted to 5 speed motors made from 1965 to 1970.
Greg if this is your type clutch cover I will send you the detail photos I took of the lever.

And this is the other type of clutch cover that a M49 might have. It is known as the bootheel type and was fitted to 5 speed motors from about 1971 to 1976. In front sitting on the blue RHS is the type of lever that fits this cover.
