Hi all

I am a new member from the Canberra area, is there any one around this area as well? I just attended the meet out on the Captains Flat rd and was really impressed with the family aspect as coming from the enduro bike scene it leaves a lot to be desired in that respect, hoping to catch up with a few people to convince me to buy a bike

Hi there,

In Canberra there is the Trials Club of Canberra. We also have 2 dealers who are members of the club, the Sherco dealer has a shop front out at Mitchell.
Email me at [email protected] and I can point you in the right direction of where to start.

Hi Max,
It's great to read about your experience with the trials fraternity around Canberra. My family and I have only been involved with trials riding for a relatively short time and we have also found the sport of trials to be a very relaxing, family-friendly form of motorcycling particularly, as you pointed out, when compared to the more speed related forms of the sport. We've attended a couple of the Rocky Trials Club meetings around the Gladstone area and have enjoyed them very much. There seems to be quite a trials "family" in Canberra so I'm sure you'll find all the help you need.

Cheers.

Hi Max
You couldn't be in a better part of the country for trials. Just north of Canberra you have a host of clubs contacts below... you can pretty much ride a club trial every weekend in the season (March to October) and the NSW trials community (which includes Canberra and the TCC) run several Open’s each year.

If you get the chance – come up to Pacific Park this weekend, it’s the XiSPA Australia 2009 Australian Championships - details here http://www.aussietitles.com.au I’m sure you’ll find plenty of folks to ‘help you buy a bike’.

Best regards

Paul Mac

Hey Max....Great to see you are coming to the dark side. I knew you would turn after a few goes on the Gasser. I don`t know who`s smile was bigger yours or Beans. We should talk about a deal as I`m going back to trail bikes for a while.
