Sherco 2002 290 front disc

Hi all,
I have just received a new front disc for my 2002 290 Sherco, when i was puting it on i noticed that it would not do up tight i.e it is floating around the spacers/inserts where the bolts hold it in position (approx 1/2 mm free play)
Is this normal
it is hard for me to determin if this is normal as the old disc locating area is bent and split, when i put it back on due to damage the it locks down tight.

Yes the disc is meant to have that movement on its bolts
