Howdy Y'all,

Seeing how everyone is getting worked up in the (marketing) hype of new Shercos and Ossa's (groundbreaking yada yada), why don't we get some ideas together to send to the bigwigs in Europe what we really want in a trials bike.

I'll start:
Frame - non breakable, under 75kg
Suspension - Marzocchi 40mm forks, Linkless rear suspension
Brakes - Std AJP with braided lines
Engine - 250cc, full hydraulic clutch, 26mm flatslide carb, very well sealed airbox
Exhaust - SS header, repackable silencer
Misc - Alloy footpegs, flexible plastics, good cooling system
Price: RRP UNDER $8200.00

So, marketing hype aside, what do you want in your bike?

Excellent work - couple of suggestions

Adjustable bar mounts (a la S3)

Bar end plus as standard

Plastic clutch and Ignition covers

Easy to get at card and air filter

Stainless Spokes and nipples

One that makes me ride better!

- an exhaust coating on the standard system that doesn't rub off on my boot?
- a few stainless (or titanium) bolts to replace the ones that typically rust, like the seat ones.. They look crappy after a few washes.
- Air filter that doesn't require double-jointed midget hands to get at.

Is a self cleaning,
self adjusting,
self maintaining bike
that makes me ride excellent
and makes me look good while I'm on it
too much to ask?

Don't care as long as I can continue to kick Denys Reed's arse. Maybe a remote engine "On/Off" switch that I could attach to John Barwick's TYZ so I can "start" kicking his as well!!!!!!!

Love the idea of the new OSSA having the exhaust pipe tucked pretty much out of sight. I seem to be able to burn my leg or scorch my riding pants on the darn exhaust pipes on all the models I've had so far.
Electric start would be good? And decals that really are tough and don't fall off about when you're ready to trade up.

I've got a camera that has that "remote kill switch" function you want, and it works on quite a few different bikes

I love the 'remote kill switch' David: - in my experience there are already too many of them out there...

i got to agree with this one, i think they should redesign away from a single spring in the front and make the shock fully rebuildable(i got a trp for my sherco now ,so all is good) also i believe they need to make the suspension fully adjustable.i will say i agree with all the comments, but i think the use of orange and green as some of the new bikes are doing isnt a great idea, cheers all

Hi, better watch out for Davids camera it also causes feet to come off the footpegs uncontrollably.
