this is a question for riders and Admin.
Why isnt the Clubman Grade recognised in the State and National competitions? We work just as hard as the other grades and I believe are the backbone of the trials fraternity. I have been riding competitively for a number of years and yes I have achieved awards and trophies over the years, but at Club level. But what has prompted me to type this is that at State and National Titles the Clubbies weren't recognised in the finishing trophies. It was a hard fought year this year and some great results, but where were the results mentioned? Or those who were 1st, 2nd or 3rd awarded?
Looking in the MOMS, there are no mention of Clubbies for years if at all. So if the wonder that there are no new 'blood' coming in like Supercross or Motorcross, we have to provide some incentive for those starting out in trials or those coming back.

As the title implies, it is a Club grade not a State or National grade. You will notice at the National Titles there is no C, B or A Grades, just open to cover all those grades.

This was one thing that was raised in the QLD moto trials forum, i believe the grading system should be overhauled, veneables should be removed in favour of age group in veterans.A national standard should be in place for gradings and also a national section setting guideline also.


I agree with stu, clubman is a grade in other two wheeled sports , so why cant it be in Trials?


There is no reason that we just have A,B and C grade, by this i mean that the sections could be set to produce a gradual rise in skill level between grades.By this you could have upper and lower C grade, same section but upper have a harder line , maybe a guideline of min of three obstacle and three turns , where lower C grade could have one obstacle and two turns. Then you could have intro in that same section that would be gate to gate ,any line.

The same could happen for other grades. As the lower part of any grade doesnt need to win trophy, this could still be left for the upper of each grade,its more to create a slow progressive rise in skill level. The other advantage also is if someone needs to drop from upper to lower of their grade(ie medical reason etc) they can but as a NC rider. This is just a idea to get the ball rolling on this.

I thought there was talk of talk a c+ and a c grade lines in NSW last year did that happen?
