hi guys,
when i say new i mean never seen a trials bike in the flesh.
i've been riding dirtbikes since i was 7 and i'm 27 now.
i've been thinking about getting a trials bike to do some cross training and because i love anything that burns fuel, maybe except for my lawnmower.
i'de like to join a club if i think i could ride one good enough but not sure how advanced i need to be.
problem is i dont know where to start. i'm going to the tooborac trails on may2nd to have a look and i don't know if there is trade displays in your sport like in enduro bikes but will suss it out anyway.
i ride a 450 yamaha at the moment but because trials bikes are so foreign to me i don't know what bike would suite me best for delepment etc.
i don't want to trade up every year so i was hopeing to get a bike that would grow with my skills.
i'm a member on dirt bike site and generally hate these questions being asked by newbies but i'm really stuck.
i live in northern suburbs of melb and might try to get in contact with the bendigo club and see if they can help as well.
i don't know if i should buy new/second hand for first bike and every one has an opinion on what make to buy but some advice on what not to buy and what to look out for would be good.
oh yeah also is there any "come try days" or somewhere to hire trials bikes?
