Gas Gas 1999 TXT 270 oil filler - where is it?

From a community member:

"How and where is the oil filler on the 1999 270 txt gasgas,we have been taking off the cluch case to fill it.Just can not seem to see a oil filler hole/plug? any help will be great ,it's a pain doing it the way were doing it now."

Can anyone locate it on this pic?

I had a '99 Gasser but sorry I can't remember.
But, more importantley I don't remember it being a pain in the bum to change the gearbox oil, I certainley never took the clutch cover off when I had it.
I'd be calling the Gas Gas Guru from back then who is Mal Loone. :wink:

I'm sure his photographic memeory will be able to help you out.

Just had a look at a '99 parts manual on the interweb thingy & its shows an "Oil Plug" just above & more horizontal than the kickstarter. It should have a copper washer under the oil filler plug.

Gary is correct it is just near the kickstart on the right side case.

Hi,thanks for your reply's.I still can not seem to find that filler.I have taken a few photo's to show and if it was above kick starter on crank case would be under mid-chamber and I can not see one on outer cluch case #-o
