maybe Ty175?. but seriously who ever made it clearly caters for the smaller man, the big hole must be there for self relief.

Now I'm a bit confused.

Way back in 1973 I bought a TY250 and it had a fibre type bash plate which I ended up breaking and replaced it with an after-market alloy one. It was a long time ago and I have a memory like a seive, but I'm sure I recall it was much wider across the front to go across the two down bars of the frame and I pretty clearly remember it as having 2 bolts at the front and not one.

I now own a little TY175 which is only just a little bit younger than my original one would now be, and just to be sure I looked at it before I typed this, and it definitely has 2 mounting bolts at the front, and is much wider across the front than the one pictured above.

Now for the confusing part ... I just went to my copy of the genuine Yamaha TY175B Service Manual to get a copy of an image of the bash plate and there it is clearly shown with only one mounting bolt at the front, but still way wider at the front than the one in the original post.

I'm now starting to wonder whether I'm having trouble counting to 2, or whether there must have been a number of different versions.

I just edited to add this....... I just found a different picture in a different section of the book......
It now clearly has 2 bolts at the front. Does this clarify, or just make it worse?

Definitly not a twinshock 250 TY, I have a few, from the A model to E model and they are longer and wider with 2 front nounting holes.
