Bultaco Sherpa T 158

Post by Justdrew »

I am in the process of restoring my Sherpa. I don't have a manual or owners handbook. Can anyone tell me the oil capacity for clutch and gearbox and what grade to use.

Also is their a wiring diagram available on the web for this model.

Hello Justdrew. In the gearbox use if completely empty 600ml of 90 weight gear oil, Castol MTX is good. If you have just drained it use 500 to 550 ml and in the primary case use 300ml of 10/30 weight gear oil or some 10 weight gear oil is very good. If you have only emptied the primary case only use 250ml of oil. This is because the Bultaco`s when you drain them some oil stays in the cases. Graham.
