There are quite a few trials riders in the Newcastle / Lake Macquarie / Hunter Valley area. I'm in Newcastle. Apart from practising in the backyard, I travel to places like Pacific Park, Wollongong or Canberra to ride in events. I don't have a twin shock (yet?) so haven't ventured out to Denman. SQTA holds the occasional event in the Coff Harbour - Grafton area.

the joys of the big country!! there is a lot of riding in this country .personally i just start my bike opposite the local police station on the nsw north coast and ride out the back to my hand build trials course and ride. unfortunatly the fun police have restricted our riding to the point that now i am now suposed transport my bike to private property to ride. compared to the understanding that we could ride anywhere except in town. which meant we could go for miles and miles freely. thats progress! now im supossed to transport my bike up to docs place or out the quarry 5 klms of country road . i ride alone because everyone around here think its crazy and encourage me to grow up.never!! competing thats where the miles rack up. its generaly between 200 to 500 klms to compete for me and well worth the drive to do so. you get to learn through watching others technic and crashs not just your own.upon dealing with motorcycling australia nsw they told me to travel 800klms to avoid crossing to the other side qld. thank god for sqata. the ride to the world titles was only 3500klms and definity well worth it. so if you travel north about 600klms feel free to try docs rocks with me.matt

Hello richo,
Terry and I ride in the Maitland area. We ride at his place or Mount Sugarloaf. We are riding twinshock's , so a little different to you.We do have a contact (code Name Mr X) that you could maybe practice with, you have the correct type of bike so that may go in your favour.Depends now on how much money you have.
Your welcome to come along. Let me know. I haven't forgotten you ken.
Cheers
Brian
