JTR 270

Post by yamaha man »

Hi ive just bought myself a JTR270 to get into trials and it is a sick bike. :D

Does anyone know of a site that has the video owners manual that was supplied with the bikes in America.

Also where do the wires from the dash on the fuel tank plastics go as mine have been cut and it would be nice if I could get it working again.

Thankyou in advance for any help.

Welcome yamaha man... and congratulations on your new bike.

I assume you are a young man....because many of us here would interpret your "sick" as disgusting!! #-o (which the JTR is not).... but I have teenage sons so I know what you mean 8)

Please be prepared for two things.....
1. When you've been riding the rocks and sections for a while your bike might look a bit battered... but that's the nature of the sport and if it doesn't your not trying hard enough
2. Any extra things you bolt on will effect your balance and geometry and when you fully appreciate that you will remove those extras anyway.

If you wanna get good learn some stationary balancing, watch some training DVD's, then find someone that's good to ride with..... then practice. practice.practice!!

Best of balance.

The JTR 270 that I had came with a digital bicycle style speedo in the tank plastics.
The wires ran down to a sensor which was on the rear disc.
Most info can be found on the "Net".
The USA Gas Gas site has heaps of info to do with servicing your bike etc.
Try this site. trialspartsusa.com

You should be able to get heaps of info from here including wiring diagrams.
