Reeds for RL250 Suzuki?

Has anyone put reed valves in a RL250? Did it make any improvement over stock? Any information someone may have would be interesting, even theroy if you have no direct experience.

Back in the day we put a boost bottle (increased the volume of the intake manifold by plumbing in a bottle on the side) of the TY175 to help low end throttle response. Anyone try this with the RL?
