TY250 C Workshop manual

Hi everyone.
As a relative newcomer (or rather returner to trials after 30 years away) I have just purchased a TY250 C (twinshock). I can find workshop manuals for A-B models, but not the later C-Ds. Although I know the Cs had some changes, not being an expert I don't know how drastic those changes were, and if if the A-B model workshop manual would be close enough, or in fact of there is a manual for the later C models even available. While I'm at it, I also always find parts manuals helpful, so any suggestions on where to source either would be welcome. The TY UK site that a friend put me onto only lists workshop manuals for TY 80-125-175 models, which seems odd...?

with thanks

I've never seen a C/D model service manual either, but there is a specific listing for C/D model tune-up data available. The difference to the B model tune-up data is with the carby jetting because the C/D has a different carby and airbox to the B model. If you want a copy of the tune-up data page I have for the c/D model I can scan it, but it is probably available somewhere on the web already.
There are parts books for sale from time to time for the C/D model on ebay.
The A model motor has quite a few mechanical differences to the B and C/D models so be careful if using books made for the A model.

Hi David.

Thanks for the reply and helpful info. I have seen the manuals for the B model on ebay etc so I will get one of those, and then try and find on the net the carby settings for the C model, as you suggest. I wasn't aware the carbys were different, so thank for the tip! If by chance I am unable to source the carb ysetteings / tuning specs for the C model, may I come back to you fo a copy of them please as you offered? I'll pay for the CD of course.

thanks again

Paul

Don't forget that the carb maybe worn , if it's as per spect and not working , ask yourself questions.
