Hi guys...and girls just new to this site, I am looking get into trials at the ripe but not old age of49. I am looking for a good begininers bike and hoped someone might have a few suggestions. I also have to kit up with riding gear, ya know, boots, helmet and such so some insights into those would be good. Last but not least, does anyone use the X Tech bike carrier??, looking forward to riding again.....hhhmm, it's been a long time, thanks in advance, cheers.

Hey Cota, thanks for the insights. I did manage to go out and see Cass at Trials experience just outside of Ballarat, she was awesome, knows her stuff, keen about the sport, really nice lady. I am leaning toward a Beta 250. And after finding someone who is dedicated to the sport I am not going to be buying or sourceing any gear from the run of the mill bike shops or online, blah!. Despite the 3 hour drive to get there it was well worth it. Haven't got a bike as yet but I do have a new helmet to walk around the house in being a dickhead!!!. Thanks again for the reply..

Hi guys, had my first ride out at Oakeigh today, loved every minute. It's been a least 3 years since I have ridden any kind of bike and over 20 since I rode a trials. Today proved that I have much to learn and I am grateful to the guys out there today that passed some useful tips. Can't wait to throw a leg again!!.
