Honda TL250 parts

Post by machman »

I am trying to source some parts for my 1975 Honda TL250, consumables such as sprockets, air filter, throttle assembly and cable. After checking out various websites I had a couple of small queries so emailed the two who appeared to be the best equipped to help me: Sammy Miller Products in UK and B&J Racing in USA. No answer. So I emailed them again a week or so later (as their websites invited me to do should I have an queries about their products application to my bike). Both very polite emails...I am still waiting for an answer from either company. Can anyone point me in the direction of someone else who may be abloe to help me as I have given up on these two.

Thanks for any advice you may be able to provide.

bad expiriences with this bloke!
Also a TL250 owner I ordered some parts. He grapped my money at once and then nothing. Months , mails, sitemails , Paypal intervention ect. some arrived. Many items missing and some wrong. Many bad mails later most in house.
good luck.
Mayby the owner had a bad time personally or something at the time of my dealing.

Thats a shame you had a bad experience,a while back his wife was in hospital in a very serious brain condition - he clearly wasnt able to keep his business in top shape. As far as I know she has recovered and the shop is doing well again. They have a very good reputation here, unlike one supplier of Cub parts....

he cancelled a meeting in his news.
but why not play open and regret his delays in his newsbox?
or answer just some mails? He had time to collect my money...

Thanks Jeolla and David for your replies. As it happens ,this morning I have finally a reply from B&J in the US, in which they provide all details I asked. So I will go with them, as they were my first choice - but I appreciate your feedback.
cheers

Well, I emailed B&J confirming the order, and asking them to invoice me via Paypal, as they offered to do...I am still waiting for the invoice to arrive. I am trying to give these people money but they don't seem interested in taking it. Frankly I am not inclined to send these people any money...

I too have had a lot of problems recently with Trail and trials. My electronic ignition failed and was supposed to get a new on under warranty. They very great in advising that they would replace it BUT 3 months later and many emails and phone calls no parts have arrived. Keep getting the usual BS about being busy and supplier has let them down, but no parts have turned up.

Would advise others to get TY parts elsewhere.. it is a shame as 2 years ago they were very good and very professional.

Not a easy job to manage a small business in times of bigger matters.
TL250: Stil need some good colorcodes for my frame (and the rest...) RAL 7009 apears close.
A set of fresh spokes are on the list too. Anyone traded with Ebaysource in Thailand?
A warning. Paramid parts TL250 headstem bearings are all wrong. They exchanged at once so OK, but Ebayoffers are suspect on makematch I feel.
Also the nice dished rear spocket!! Any new source for a 57 match?
