SAMMY MILLER TL125 HIGH BOY RE-BORN

My Son Peter found this bike in a very tired and much unloved state around 12 months ago.
Was stripped down to the bare frame and after the many layers of crud were removed, and much elbow grease, the original chrome plating on the frame was in pretty good condition.
Front forks were changed to very early XL185 for better geometry.
This caused the need to modify the original steel fuel tank---see pictures.
Engine was increased to 150cc with the use of new barrel from O/S. Not as easy as they make out as the early crankcases require major machining etc.
Bike finally assembled and taken to Mt Bolton Trial where Peter rode it all day without it missing a beat.
