Hi Ross,

Good score - looks to be very complete from what I can see. Looks to be a steel tank bike?

Pity about the frame....it seems to be a case of "when", not ïf" they're going to break there. I was lucky enough to find one with no cracks and no previous repairs. Looks like someone got their value out of yours before you got it!!!

I have a few random parts left over from my build and may be able to help if there is anything you need, mainly smaller parts.

Good luck with the build!
Tom

Hi All, Thanks for the comments Tom . Good to have another possible source for parts. At the moment just trying to straighten frame, looks like something has fallen on the right side. Amazing what you can do with a hydraulic bottle jack ( the RL backbone twists real easy  ), a long pipe and a large sledge hammer. The seat base was also badly damaged, have managed to beat into reasonable shape and am currently getting stress fractures welded.
Yes its a steel fuel tank , couple of dings but looks clean internally. I understand the RL originally came with an Aluminium tank ("made from beer cans") but changed to steel during 1974 ???. Do i see in photo's that the tank filler cap is offset on the aluminium tank or am i seeing things  Cheers Ross

hi All, before and after photo's of RL250 engine. Bit of a clean to remove Wasp nests and New Magneto inspection cover ($$ on ebay). No engine number available , that part has been knocked off ^()^ . Cheers Ross
