Seems like I'll be out of action as far as competition goes for the rest of the season unless we can set a bike up for left arm only. I have managed to do a quick throttle conversion on the ATV/farmers' wheelchair but it could be a bit tougher on two wheeler. Maybe I can run a sidecar instead???
BJ,
My mate with one arm, just got his full licence on a 650 Kawasaki. Put the clutch and front brake on the throttle side. Amazing how easy it is to actually pull the clutch in and operate the front brake at the same time. Indicators are operated by switches near the footpegs.
Don`t think your piece of bailing twine looks too safe !!!!!! Hate you to do any more injury to yourself. A four wheeler with a stuck throttle, flipping over onto me doesn`t sound like fun. Thought of a thumb throttle on the left hand side ??

I may be a farmer but not everything gets fixed here with bale twine or fencing wire you know!! Sometimes I use a big hammer .
This is high quality stainless steel clothes line with a nylon coating!!!
It works well, tried it today, the pull is heavy so it is difficult to get an unwelcome fist full of throttle. Hopefully I will be able use both hands for the ATV after 4 or 5 weeks. That mate of yours deserves a medal for getting his ticket. Just goes to show what happens when you fall in love with bikes, nothing ever seems to stop you from riding something for very long. But how does he give someone the finger when thay cut him off without letting go all together?
