Hey,

Noobie here, 6 months in maybe now with minimal motorcycle experience to start with so its been pretty funny to watch. Ive been fortunate enough to be able to buy a new GG from the Hell Team, I call it the Arsekicker. I love this creekbed so many angles and fark me whata calorie burner eh..I have an injured right leg, my thigh has a quarter of its mass missing so kicking this sucker over is pretty hard. Great fun and a great sport you guys have..

So washing my prized Arsekicker?? Can I hit it with a Karcher? Obviously not too close..carby as issue with washing or anything I shouldnt do?? I tried the search for about 1 minute...they suck eh..

Hey Glen,
Congrats on the new Gasser, that He'll Team seem like real nice, helpful guys from my recent contact with them.

The Karcher is a good thing to keep away from any bike because it is too easy to blast water or worse, grit through the seals. Hand washing will pay off long term.
Use a good quality NON CORROSIVE wash, a sponge or soft brush (a paint brush or even a toothbrush can be useful) and the garden hose. Dry well before you put it away.
Many good wheels, bearings and more have been wrecked by using cheap, corrosive truck wash or laundry detergent and blasting this cleaner past the nipples or seals with a pressure cleaner.
Plug your exhaust before you hose the bike and only use as much pressure as you need, the carbie will be OK.

Good onya Hermit thanks for the effort mate, Paul at Hell Team was great, good deal and a nice bloke. So I did all those wrong things and Karchered it before I saw this post! Ha only once wont kill it and i'll remember the drying to. Running it after a wash to warm it up and dry off is ok right? Yea mate not many trials riders around here really eh. I have the whole place to myself mosta the time. There'll be no telling where it is either!! Haha..ive emailed you mate.

There may be more trials riders in Newcastle than you think.

I hear lots of other bikes hammering around on the tracks in places where I practise, but since I don't spend any time on the tracks and make a lot less noise than the other bikes, I doubt anyone knows I'm out there.

I forgot to mention that many of the regulars at Denman events are actually from Newcastle.

The next event up at Denman is on 14 Sep 2014 and is a 'Run what ya brung' day. This means the club's traditional 'twin-shock only' restriction is lifted and you can ride whatever you like.

DMCC is MA affiliated, so you will need an MA licence, MOMS-compliant machinery (eg: lanyard kill switch) etc.

I'm not from Newcastle, however I'm from singleton.

I've been wanting to catch up with a few riders to get out more.

I'm a regular with the denman club, I've done most my riding with them. I'll be taking my gasgas up to the next trial@ Sykes.
