Brains trust...
Just noticed this (see attached) Without replacing the pipe (I've spent enough already) Can someone give me a thought on how to repair this? The alloy is so soft I can bend it with my fingers.
Cheers
Craig.

Get a new mounting lug welded on. Should only cost a fraction of the cost of a new pipe

I would drill 2 holes in to tab[just above the existing weld] and use 2 countersunk machine screws with nyloc nuts to screw on a new aluminium tab.

Thanks gents. I'll try the tap/bolt idea and see how it holds before getting it cut/welded.

I'd just cut it off, cut out another piece, and weld it on. If you don't have a welder I'm sure some local shop worker will do it for $10 or a couple of cans.
