40 years ago we were never asked to confront the punishment that we occasionly serve to them today.

Most of you don't ... but I ... as the exception ... gravitate towards every immovable object within sections.

So after twice punching holes through casings ... a couple of aftermarket bashplates ... and much design research on the net
... I have now fitted THE SHERMAN TANK SHELL to the underside of my much loved TY250A.

Greg Henry (98%... years of knowledge, fabrication ideas, ability and skill) and I (1% encouragement, enthusiasm and little more) worked through to produce SHERMAN. I need to acknowledge a mid 70's bashplate from Sport'n'Speed in the US for the other 1%.

Greg ( typarts-aus on this forum ) is fine tuning for the first production run. As he is for the TLR bahplate that he is refining.

I cannot imagine that I will need to fit another bashplate.

Happy to pass on details if you wish.

Great shots Alastair and flattery will get you everywhere.........so keep it coming. I also have Stuart testing a 4mm marine grade aluminium bashplate on his TY250A this weekend at Jugiong with the IT Forum riders. Will keep the post updated. I hope the TLR fits up Garry, it was a small gamble without the bike. Can't wait to tackle some rocks with big Stu. on the weekend, but the weather will be very HOT, so liquid refreshments are the order of the evenings. :D

Nice heavy duty bashplate, heaven help the rocks and and logs and other immovable objects now. I just verniered the thickness of a 2014 GG bashplate, and sure enough it's 6mm also but with no side protection like those beauties.
