Hi Everybody,
Jackroo is right, the term "sequentially" on its own, without any qualifying addendums is meaningless.

Re: Don Smith Article
Hi Ian and Shane,
I too have fond memories of Don Smith.
One of the best is while he was having one of his on again, off again, love-hate relationships with Sammy Miller ( Don loved to wind him up, and was probably the only one around at the time with the cheek, nerve and ability to do it!).

Re: De ja Vu and Don Smith.
Hi David,
Don't get me wrong, I think the section on Steve's career is fascinating, and the pictures are wonderful, its just the lifting of other peoples writing and the smart-arsed and dismissive comments followed by silence in reply to my, quite reasonable I thought, queries that grated with me ...

De ja Vu and Don Smith.
Hi All,
I wonder if anybody has had the same feeling of having been here before whilst reading the 'how to ride' chapters in Steve Saunders' book 'On Trial, my life in motorcycle trials'
The chapters contain whole swaths of text from Don Smith's earlier book 'Ride it, the complete book of ...

Re: Basket Cases
Hi everybody,
The explanation given to me in about 1978/9 by Chris Holden was that the rear hub on the MARs was a moped hub and so was a little light-on for width and strength.
Sammy miller sold me an outrigger spacer with bearings, long bolts and a flat sprocket that fitted outboard of the spacer ...

Re: Basket Cases
Hi all,
There is a common thread running through the Ossa derision.
It concerns the 350 and 310 MAR Ossas (White/Green and Green/Black both.) which, in my experience, were not a patch on the 250.
This includes the orange and yellow grippers - 250 good, 350 bad.
Much the same as the 250 and 350 ...

Re: Basket Cases
Dear All,
Here's an Ossa picture for you.
It must be about 1978 or so and I am not fat yet.
It's an Isle of Wight Motor Cycle Club ( Becky Cook's and my old club, I will be riding the Isle of Wight Two Day when I vist family in April next year ) trial at Downend chalk pit near the Hare and Hounds ...

Re: Titanium parts available for TY175 and TY250 twinshocks
295 Euros to lose a kilo.
That's nothing, when I was doing some work with an America's Cup team a few years ago, the technical director told me that they reckoned 100,000 dollars to lose a kilo from the top of the mast was a bargain!
Happy days,
joe.
