NEW Keihin Carburetor SPS

With the release of the new Sherco 3.2 4T Trials weapon in 2008, various tests and rider reviews revealed a slight “lag” in the throttle response at low revs.

This minor issue, which many riders would not even notice, has been identified and rectified by the Sherco factory and the manufacturers of the Keihin Carburetor.

The Keihin SPS (Sherco Prompt System) is easily fitted to the 4T Sherco and maintains similar jetting requirements as the standard Keihin.

Colin Zarczynski currently has the only Keihin SPS Carburetor in the country and has been trialing it for the past 2 weeks.

Colin said, “The slight hesitation that I had with the standard carb is now gone. I have increased confidence in the feel of the throttle and due to the new location of the main jet, we are able to run a bigger main jet for even more power”.

Hi Neo,
The standard Keihin is most suitable for the 2T Sherco if you are looking for the best power delivery. Smooth off the bottom, strong in the mid section and maximum output. The SPS carbi is specifically designed for the 4T and will not physically fit into the 2T as there is an extension on the bottom of the carb that would hit the caseings.
I tried to put a pic on here but the file size was too big.
I will be at Round 4 of the NSW Champs this weekend so you can see it for yourself there.

Hi Col,

For that BIG photo, here's trick you might like to try.

Right click the file and select "Send To" then "Mail Recipient".
A pop-up should appear that asks if you want to make the picture smaller...Click OK....
An email window will open....then all you have to do is drag the attached file to your desktop (but not the original folder).
Your new picture will be small enough to post on TA.
