TY175C fuel tank graphics

Post by David Lahey »

In case anyone want a good reference for what an original TY175C fuel tank paint scheme looks like, here is one which I believe to be original.

Not that I am close to being ready to attack the 175 as yet, but can you or someone else tell me the colours to use. I read somewhere that the original white is a creamy white & similar to an early landcruiser.
Cheers

I took 2x A3 sheets of paper stuck together and traced the pinstripe line, and used the filler hole to center as the reference of an original tank. I will use this when I get to do my tank. Need the original colours also. Decals found on various sites online too.
I would rather push my twinshock than ride a modern!

Appreciate the information. I have found all the decals etc. What I was curious about was the actual colour codes or at least what colour are very close. My tank has a great surface rust scheme so I cannot rely on colour matching both the orange & white
