pre-65 Spanish?

Hi all,
Having seen what has been posted on this subject and with very little knowledge I have grabed out the 2010 Manual of Motor Sport and in the Moto Trials section all of your questions are explained, it is simple to me anyway I believe,he has the proof it is allowed or have I missed something ?

One thing is for sure about this, what happens at the pre-65 class at the Mt Tamborine Aussie Titles this year will be sure of being followed very closely by the Trials community here and even in other countries. Its almost surreal that our beloved old dirt bikes can be so controversial. Fantastic to see such emotion coming out and that there are so many people passionate about the bikes we ride.
I wonder what we can do to make the Twinshock class at the Titles as topical and interesting as Classic pre-65 will be with Alan there on that lovely M10 riding against the other protagonists there on their own lovely bikes? I can hardly wait and it might even mean being an Observer rather than riding, just to see the spectacle unfold.

What I should have added to my last comment is that not for one moment do I blame Alan for this situation with his bike or any Spanish or Jap bikes being allowed to ride in Pre 65 Classic class.
I guess the name of the class is definitive enough but if the organisers and scrutineers allow a bike to compete then the onus is on other riders to protest if they feel they have a case and thats where it went wrong at last years titles, Alans not to blame, the organisers are.

That old cut-off date also made the last of the Montesa Twinshocks a bit iffy too

OMG! I can't believe all the fuss over this subject.

Fact - Bike has been deemed within the rules as they stand - end of topic!

If some believe the rules should be changed, then have a meeting and take it to the Commissioners and MA. That seems simple enough. But I do wonder if there would be all this fuss if he hadn't won? Seems like a whole bunch of sour grapes has set this topic off.

I had heard a little about this subject prior to the 2009 titles but it did not mean anything to me. Never can understand why someone would want to ride one of those old things. My main concern, and to me this was a huge one, was "where did Allan get those overalls from?" I wondered this every time he rode past me, and I become so concerned, I was seriously considering taking up a collection and buying him some bike gear. When I expressed my concern to others, I was informed that he was "period" dressed to match his bike!

The fact is that the bike was accepted to ride in the titles and it won but there are many of us who know without doubt that the bike was not built pre 65 as a complete bike and it is therefore not eligible to compete in that class. Alan has been requested to provide engine / frame numbers to shut us all up and prove us wrong about the date of build but regardless of that info being forthcoming or not I maintain the bike is not in keeping with the Pre 65 era.
Perhaps the bike isn't a full M10 and has been assembled from other models to ressemble an M10 but only Alan knows the full story and he's not letting on, perhaps he is enjoying this discussion as has already been suggested by others !!!!!
