Hi Michael
I am also new to the refurbishing of TRLR200s. I have replaced rear shocks, forkseals / wipers, front & rear brake shoes, installed a slow action that tamed the urgency of the Honda and put michelin rubber on. I may get around to the upgrading to the degree Andy has, but at the mo I am enjoying falling off, trying to balance and travelling slow.... It's a hoot, best thing I have got into.
Also Andy is quite modest as one of the reasons for an increase in trials Hondas in Aus (in a small way) is Andy's good recent work.
I have had good experiences with parts purchases from TY Trials UK (http://www.tytrials.co.uk/)
They made me aware of a scam that DHL has of trying to hit you with extra charges after you goods long after your parts have landed, beware of the scond hit for a spurious delivery handling charge. A chgallenge will result in a withdraw by DHL.
All the best phillridge

Re: Fettling a TLR 200
My TLR 200 seems to have the wrong kickstarter fitted . Doesn't fit all the way on the spline and won't close to the detent without hitting the exhaust. Anyone lucky enough to have both (200 + 250)on their shed who could have a look at both models? Not the end of the world but details matter.Rattles a bit and blocks the brake pedal a bit.

Re: Fettling a TLR 200
Had some spare time this afternoon so got stuck in to some new bar risers. The plan was to go straight up rather than up and towards the rider.Moving them forward a little is no problem with my height.
May have to spend some time linishing some rounded corners on them to make them look better and then a coat of black paint to make them disappear a bit.

Re: Fettling a TLR 200
Hi Michael
Sorry for the delay in providing a response on your throttle question. The slow action throttle is called a "domino" removes the touchiness of the Honda action and the possible handful of throttle that the novice does not need. I recall I paid around $20 plus postage, but cannot recall who I purchased it from. A number of suppliers mentioned by others have the throttle, so shopping around is a good practice. When ftting the item be careful to leave the existing throttle cable fitting or butchering until the very last, as I feel you may be able to better utillise the adjustment at the cable end with some careful changes to the Domino to enhance the connectivity. Too many words; just don't jump in, measure twice then sit and look at it before cutting stuff.

Re: Fettling a TLR 200
Thanks for that. I have ordered an Amal slow action throttle and cable to suit the TLR. Ordered a new needle and seat as per Andy's info and have a 9T sprocket and cir-clip coming.New front brake cable and one of Andy's TLR bashplates. Waiting for it all to arrive for a big changeover day.
Cheers from Micheal.

Glad to hear Andrew's info was helpful. Can you say where you purchased the new carby jets, needle & seat?

Re: Fettling a TLR 200
I bought them from my local Honda dealer who had to order them in which only took a couple of days. The needle includes the needle, clip, retainer and needle tube.Haven't worried about fitting until the throttle arrives and will get both benefits at once. The exhaust has had a little surgery at some stage so I will assess the jetting after fitting these parts.
Gearing is much better with the 9 to 44 combo. in place and figure 8s are achievable now at an idle .

What rear shocks did you go with Phil? What springs for what weight rider (bit personal)?
Did you use standard Honda brake shoes?
Cheers from Micheal.
