Its a lot like a late model Sherpa T to ride (which is a good thing), but unlike the Bultaco, there are not many replacement parts available for it. Wheel hubs are shared with other Italian bikes of the same era, but motor parts are not easily sourced.

Hi mt 125. A good place for parts is Steve Goode in England. He seems to have most parts for them except mudguards. He also has some spec sheets that he will mail or email to you. There is a place in Germany who has mudguards though. Also check out the Italjet forum on Trials Central as there is a bit of information on there. In Motion Trials in England has airfilters and brake shoes plus a few other parts. Graham.

Regardless of what others have said, these things were tractors, an over-engineered Sherpa-T in essence, virtually unbreakable with a powerful 350cc engine, unfortunately they weighed as much as a tractor.

I have two of them in my shed, one in bits and the other about to become bits, i plan on building one good one from the pair of them. Both of them are known to me, as one was my new bike in 1982 and the other was ole mate Pat's new bike in 1981,both have been dealt a harsh hand since Pat and I owned them.

Many trials riders in Australia rode Italjet back in the early 1980's, mainly due to Italjet flooding the market in Oz and the spanish brands being in short supply is the way i remember it. Whatever the real reason i can't recall fully, but Norm Fraser M/C in Brisbane always had parts, the shitty rear brake pedal was about the only thing i replaced on mine.

Norm Fraser M/C has long since gone as has YesMoto who also had parts for many years, so those UK links are much appreciated.

Thanks for the positive feedback everyone. The bike is alot more fun then my old powerless TL125. Im not too concerned about parts, the motor was rebuilt before I obtained the bike. Long live the Kirmitt bikes.

The Italjet 350T was a great bike and had an undeserved bad reputation in Australia , All the good points of a Sherpa, stable handling and good solid feel plus a lighter front end and slightly beter traction, i think the footpegs may have been set back a bit further. The brakes were also an improvement over the Bultaco having steel liners instead of the hard chrome lining of the Bultaco which soon wore through. I run Italjet wheels on my Sherpa for this reason. I remember one of the modifications i did to my Italjet was to increase the size of the breather holes in fuel tank cap , prior to this the engine would mysteriously die and when you undid the cap to check fuel level you would hear a sucking noise and then the bike would fire up and run normally for awhile and then do it again later on. They were hard to keep looking good as your boots would soon destroy the sidecover stickers. Enjoy yours and don't listen to the knockers they are a great bike !
