Hello Greg & Chippy, that bike looks too nice to ride in rocks, well done.

What's this Blue wire Black wire dilemma? Are we fitting a killswitch? If so I thought you simply grounded/shorted the smaller Back wire to the chassis. That's how mine is from the previous owner, I'm concerned now that it may not be correct even though it does kill the motor. Hopefully not permanently! Please explain?

There are two LT terminals on the OSSA HT coil. To stop the motor, one of them is earthed through the killswitch.
If you look at the OSSA wiring diagram, it shows which HT coil terminal is supposed to be connected to the "ignition switch". That is the one to connect to the kill switch.

Yes I know, that's what concerns me. Mine was clearly earthing the smaller black wire(connectected to 6mm spade at coil), rather than the larger red wire(not blue) in my case which connects to the 9.5mm spade terminal at the coil.

Unsure of the consequences, any auto-sparkies out there?

Hi everyone,

Greg you certainly support many brands of machines.

Well I have finished another restoration, the 1975 Ossa MAR 350. It has the more upright rear shocks compared to the 1976 model MAR 350.

I must thank again all that has had some involvement in getting this bike ready.

Tricub, here is another photo for you, but it will be revealed at Conondale Twin shock masters this weekend.

Hopefully I will get time to run it in!!!!

Now if only I had X-ray vision I would be able to see through that cover. Does anyone have a X-ray vision app or software?

It is all a bit of a worry .....
That cover is lumpy in some of the wrong places for anything that I know.
Are you trying to disguise it, or has this strange machine been crossbred with a camel?
