new TY175 kickstart lever assemblies

Post by David Lahey »

I've had a few people asking about sourcing these recently so in case anyone else is after one, I was just given a price from my local Yamaha shop that is a fair bit better than what I've paid in the past when buying from the UK. Part number is 525-15620-01

Thanks David, I've made a note of the number, some of these 45 year old kick start levers are
getting a bit worn out so its good to know we can get them in Aus.

When I ordered mine a few weeks ago, they told me there were 6 left in Australia. When a friend bought one a few days later he was told there were 3 left in Australia

I went to order one today, but apparently there's no stock in Oz anymore. You can still order, but it'll be a couple of weeks wait as they have to come from Japan. I ordered one anyway - I HATE sloppy kickstarters!
Cost $141.95 (Is that similar price to what you found David?)

[sub][/sub] I doubt paul bought the last ones in Australia. And I thought it would be self explanatory but perhaps jump onto the hell team website and check out parts and then perhaps ty175.

Well someone snapped up the last ones in Oz. Good luck to Paul if it was him anyway!

It was a couple of years ago that I bought my new assembly. I think it was a 2 or 3 week wait from Japan too. For a 40 year old bike you'd be surprised at how many genuine original parts are still available from Yamaha.

I can't find the air intake trumpet from the carby to airbox yet, so I will have to make it myself I guess
