the aerostart is not the best. the residue might rot the tyre over time, much better to use deodorant or hairspray. you just want something that dries. its actualy the propellant that burns. but any aerosol will work.

when I change my tyres I use Truck wash in the beads and while they're wet I bump the tyre up to get it on the bead and I hold it at 50 PSI for three or four days so that the Truck wash dries. Once it does dry it acts like a glue and sticks well

there have been trials that I have riden with almost nothing in them and they haven't popped yet.

the problem with using truck wash like that is that it contains caustic soda, this eats away at alloy over time. you would be better off using normal washing up liquid in the same way. even if you use truck wash to wash them and then re wash with normal washing up liquid.

The Stuff that I use is Caustic Free

A lot of common washing up liquids are BAD!.
look at the amount of sodium chloride (salt) on a Morning Fresh contents label! it will create a whole series of other corrosion issues.

How about WD40?
It seems to work well for mounting dirt bike tyres provided you work fast and I haven't had any problems with tubes or tyres falling apart or rims corroding.
I have avoided using the tyre fitting lube they use for car tyres because I suspect it gets slippery again every time it gets wet (and the tyre seat gets wet on tube type trials bike rims)

ever since I bought my 2003 REV3 and traded bikes. I've been using the Truck wash on the tyres and haven't had any problems with the corrosion

lets think lateraly. wouldn't lard/ animal fat be the best? it is stable for years, contains no caustic soda, no salt, lubricates, doesn't wash of with water, sets ( kind of ), is cheap and is good for the rubber. And now I think of it maybe lanolin would be even better.

the problem as I understand it is not truck wash and tyres but truck wash and alloy rims.

thing is whe you use things like lanoline or any oil on the tyres they will pop off easy but you don't want this to happen when your riding at low pressures. the Truck wash asts like a glue when dry and it sticks the beads so you can run low pressures.

the stuff that I use is CT 18 Super wash
It states that it is biodegradeable PH neutral and contains no caustic.
It's the product that I have been using even to clean my bikes for the last 6 yrs
