Do you guys ride/compete with those things or just bring them to each section?
I think if you ride with them it is also worth considering the danger aspect of sharp protrutions, I recommend the back pockets off an old pair of jeans ( cut the rest off ) to make a wrap then put this in your bumbag.

At a trial last year I busted a brand new clutch lever, no worries, I replaced it with an old faithful and kept riding. If you lot know of the rocks at the top of Mt Kembla, it's damn hard to get out of there without a clutch. Now I take said tools and stuff everywhere and I do wrap then in an old piece of sheet.

Keith, I've never entered a comp, but I used to compete in cross country mountain biking, I used to carry a good quality multi tool, and I think the secret is not to ever use it whilst your at home, use your main kit. I've got a allen keys, srew drivers, 5 spanner sizes, tyre levers and a knife all in one, its about the size of a mars bar, light ( titanium ) and strong also it does not have any sharp protrutions. it cost about $100 but that was 15 years ago and it is still in as new condition because I only use it in an emergency. I can't remember the name of it ( the logo wore off long ago ) but I would recomend something similar.

Cheers Gordon

Gday Motostar
How does F@#$X%&%X$#&X##%%@@X%^&^$$#$# sound!
To cut a very long story short....Was really crook the week leading up to the event, was crook at the event(wasnt too bad on the Sunday tho) and was crook as a dog after the event. Sprained my ankle unloading the bike off the back of the ute on day 2 and sprained it properly on the second lap (didn't even fall off). Lost my card on lap 3. Rode my new bike and should have ridden the old one. #-o and rode like a total dorkstick.

sigh....................

Despite all the wheels falling off the cart, I still had a good time. The sections were nice and challenging, especially on the first day and importantly I got some good intense practice time on my new bike.
And I met some really nice people from the WA and Vic trials community.
