Pretty sure it was an Essex Schoolboy Trials Club event at a Sand & Gravel pit near Colchester Essex UK - 4 laps of 15 sections - mixture of mud, sand & gravel with some pretty steep hill climbs.

Stuart

I did a trial fit of the new "LONGRIDE SEAT" for the TYs recently.

Fits perfectly..... like a finger in a babys bum.

I have also made the plugs to allow the fibreglassing of the wheel arch area and petrol tank bolt area.

So I think it is now all systems go.

They say good things come to those who wait, but I often wonder if my body will see it out to verify that !!!!!

Cheers.

OK, here is a link to my TLR200 resto that has been on the boil since November.
Since these photo's were done the engine has been taken apart, or rather the top end has been fettled. I should have it back in the frame this weekend.

Can't wait to see the difference with better brakes, a bit less weight and modified footpags.

New tyres, new wheel and str. head brgs., new chain and sprockets, new brake shoes, fuel tap, new rear guard and new stickers. Woo hoo....rode her this afternoon the grip off those soft tyres is amazing.
Thanks Dave for all the shed time and the help with the how to tips.

Very nice Mark but it doesn't quite look right yet.
Can you post another photo after it gets that nice Childers-coloured dirt on the tyres?

Here it Dave. Powder dry red krazonzem soil ....not surprisingly the old michies on the TY are spinning up big time on this stuff. The new ones are great. Man it must be hard to get a museum quality resto dirty....just getting the old battle scarred SWM a bit dusty was a bit disturbing.
