Last time I repaired this case was about 5 yrs ago. The bike has been using Motul Motocool Factoryline Organic coolant that whole time. It recently failed and started dribbling coolant..looking the former photos the magnesium itself hasn't changed much at all, only the epoxy became discoloured and dislodged...have done another repair using the same 5 minute Liquid Steel Epoxy after treating the exposed magnesium with Phosphoric acid....would be good to prime the surface with something but didn't have anything....anyway, its not a picture perfect repair but will do the job..all up the repair itself was approx an hour and a half of my time....good for another 5 yrs I guess

Very informative. Why skimp on the most important area, the preps done thoroughly is the bases of all your good work.
