The disappointment of not seeing the flowers was more than made up for by seeing a nice old twinshock with a pretty green tank and side covers, being ridden very well, at least in the section where I was observing. I’m pretty sure someone somewhere has photos. There were lots of cameras around.

When I last looked, the scoreboard indicated that there were several riders very close to the lead in twinshock, and in all probability a good ride or a bad ride in any given section on day two could see any of a few riders take the lead. I’m not sure that a pretty petrol tank is enough to make that difference.

Team Hardwood ventured down to Denman this weekend for their 2 day Trial and what a great weekend it was, Twinshocks everywhere! The sections were superb with an excellent selection of diverse lines, almost as diverse as the bikes

There was even an all Girl Honda TL 125 Challenge, Abbey and Donna had a good close competition on pretty much identical bikes.

Think I have found your LOST NUTS

After much cursing and hammering with a drift, I finally managed to remove your BENT rear axle. 12mm axle in the rear with the tiny 32mm x 12mm bearings so far in from the swingarm, what were they thinking? They have used 3 bearings with 2 on the sprocket side, but the bending moment is too far from the support of the swingarm. Your secondhand sprocket adapter has worked out well, with a little tweak in the lathe, it now has an extra 32mm x 20mm bearing the runs and spreads the load on the hardened spacer. We are probably best off machining up another one for your 350?

In your Plethora of parts, do you have 520 10T or 11T front sprockets?

With the Queensland titles done and good rides by Glen Chadwick and James Wager with me third on the KT, it would have been interesting with you in the mix Greg. I even had some plant decoration on the KT for Mark's benefit. David I didn't even scratch the new paintwork on the tank!!

Gee Greg the rear axle is bent on that , it looks as though it's the shape of a banana. I didn't realise it was that bent. I will definitely need a spacer for the 350 so that the same thing doesn't happen. Greg I know you like low gearing on your bikes, can you tell me how many teeth on that rear sprocket? I don't have a front 10 or 11 tooth sprocket, but I'll get you one when I order more parts. I think the standard dished rear sprocket I have (same as in the photo) is 42 tooth and i will run an 11 tooth on the front as you know I prefer to have a slightly taller first gear. I think David likes a really low first gear on his .

Greg I am still short a nut, as I need a front axle nut and like you said is the same for the rear axle. It's a 12 x 1.5 possibly.

Good to hear the KT tank is as-yet undamaged Chippy. I'm hoping you are coming up to ride at the CQTC Turkey Beach trial with it so I can get some nice photos. Were you happy with how the KT went at the Qld titles? I've fiddled the suspension at both ends on mine quite a bit since you last rode it (after being able to study it with you riding) and am very happy with how it goes.
I'm glad you mentioned the banana-shaped OSSA axle in Greg's photo. Until then I couldn't quite work out what that photo was about, except that coming from Coff's Harbour, I though it was just another "banana-bender" Greg joke photo.

David yes I am bringing the KT to ride the round being held by CQTC so you can get some photos. I'm glad I could help with your suspension set up on your KT David. I wonder how different it will be to mine?

I did notice straight away, but did anyone happen to see the Ossa symbol in the photos that Greg created?

Greg always puts hidden tricky things in his photos, and no I didn't see it till you said it. He is just trying to stir up the OSSA train spotters who spend their lives explaining that the OSSA symbol is actually not a 4 leaf clover
