Is it worthwhile to lengthen swingarm TY 175?

Can you feel the difference? What about turning radius? How much length? What are the advantages?
I have tried running adjuster for chain all the way to rear and can't ride well enough to detect a difference.

Lengthen the swing arm but keep the wheel base the same by moving the swingarm pivot in front of the frame tubes. There is enough room behind the engine case.

Moving the axle rearwards by extending the swingarm makes the TY175 easier to ride when you are climbing in that it is easier to control the front end of the bike with power on and the front end higher than the rear end.
Yes it makes the turning circle bigger but the turning circle is so ridiculously small on a TY175 that this is not a big issue. The TY175 is shorter in the wheelbase than most other twinshock trials bikes.
A 40mm to 60mm extension to the standard swingarm is what people usually do.
Because extending the wheelbase this way only moves one wheel, the footpegs are then a bit too far forwards and need to be moved rearwards to place them in the ideal position for the new wheelbase.

Thanks David, I can always count on you for a thoughtful reply. I think I will lengthen a spare swingarm and give it a try.
Thank you too PA. Don't think I will change the pivot point on the swingarm but it raises some interesting possibilities.

Here's how I did one

That looks easier than what I had in mind. I like the nice straight cut for adding the extension. Thanks.
