what oil for my beta 250 2t

hi all
please can you help me with this one!!! ive been told to put castrol mtx in the beta for the eng/gearbox but this cant be right!!!its says on the bottle 75/90 is this too thick? i was thinking on the lines of 10/40 or 20/40 fully syn
or does the beta have a dry clutch

I'd be thinking that was too thick..
I use 10w40, it's also what's recommended in the Sherco manual and I'd be guessing your bike would be pretty similar..

Transmission Oil. 550ml Bardahl Gearbox 20W40 from the owners manual.

Gday all, gear oils and engine oils use a different "weight" system. 80/90 gear oil is pretty close to 10/40 engine oil in "thickness". I assume that MTX is a transmission oil so it would be OK. Personally I use Dexron 3 Auto transmission fluid in all my 2 stroke gearboxes. Its the best for clutches.

Shell Advanced gear oil 10w is what David from Beta Racing recommended. Thanks for the link Motostar99.
