Hi all.
I last rode trials as a kid back in the late 70,s,came across from England and found nothing in the state of tasmania .So as the years rolled on I began riding MX and enduro ,losing all interest with trials.Only in the last year or so have I taken any notice at all of trials by watching Foxtel and seeing it again.I was amazed at how far this sport has evolved! just Gobsmacked at what riders and bikes are doing now!.Maybe its because im 46 and still in a time warp but I think the "modern" trails has evolved into a sort of stunt riding show, fantastic skills and great to watch dont get me wrong, but the sport of old that I new has gone, riders toddling up the creeks in the scottish 6 day ,Farmers fields and creek beds brimming with every type of affordable bike.Mum ,Dad not having to go into debt to get the latest carbon fibre fly weight bike. The latest riders fly thier feather weight machines up or over mindblowing obstacles like evil kenevel .I am glad that classic trails is still around, hopefully when I find the right "steed" I can grip on tight as I heave the old girl up over a log or down a creek bed and feel chuffed I dident go over the bars! let alone jump the grand canyon or levitate over a mountain range !
