PRE 65,68,71

I think pre 68 might be a good compromise would the James and Greeves fit into pre 68? there is probably others that might fit in too.
If you go up to the last M49 your running into 1971 so it could put up a argument for MAR's,M80's etc etc it could probably just shift the whole PRE 65 trouble 6 years down the track.
Everyone has a opinion this is just mine. Maybe the majority want Pre70 or to keep Pre65 no Bultaco :x

I'm sure theres a few people around that would like to give classic a go, having more bike choice, I think, would create more interest for riders and get some of those beautiful old bikes out of sheds or lounge rooms to do what they were made to do. HAVE FUN ON

4. Have a pre 68/69/70 class (and if anyone argues about elegibility/lodges a protest/bitches to me they are deemed overly competiteve and not in the spirit of the event and automatically go in the open twinshock class on the c/b line :twisted: )

When you take emotion, passion and self interest out of this subject the answer to satisfy everyone including the Spanish supporters, is quite simple;
1. Leave Pre 65 to the purists (No Spanish)
2. Introduce a Pre 65 Specials Class to include tricked up bikes and others if proved to be Pre 65 (or maybe Pre 68)
3. Introduce a Pre 70 Class for the older Twinshocks.

I don't think its worth arguing about anything younger because its taken years to try and sort out Pre 65 so lets not take on too much in one go.

Personally I don't think we will achieve much on an open forum and I would be willing to coordinate a closed email group to discuss this subject without any slanging, insults or bitching if each interested party will email me and I will form a group where we can talk to each other, swap ideas and hopefully come up with some thought out suggestions that we can put to our State Trials Sub Committee's.

I think let Twinshock (post classic) be - It's definately the rider skill, not so much the machine. (re: the guys doing well on modified trail bikes)
I think a discusson on a intermediate class between Clubman and C Grade could be more justified?
