Hi all this is my first post on here so I do appologise for it being a request but im having trouble locating a clutch cover for a ty250 B model onwards .
Over here in the UK our less than perfect climate dosent do the magnesium covers any good hence theyall tend to corrode around the bottom edge.
If anyone has one they would be willing to part with please PM with details cheers Bob

Re: ty250 clutch cover
My second post on here - also from the UK..... I know exactly what you are talking about as my bike was starting to corrode on my way home from yesterdays Golden valley trial.A liberal dose of WD40 was all I had time to do.The salt spray up the back of my Discovery from the salted roads does damage straight away. But the real long term damage on my clutch cover is where mud/cow poo has been allowed to sit between the bash plate and the cover - its badly pitted all the way along the lower edge.
By chance I was talking to Craig Mawlem of Majesty Yamaha yesterday at the trial about the possibility of getting new covers cast. Not so much because of the corrosion - mine is far from leaking, but more because no one uses the oil pump so there is a useless cover on there with bodged rubber grommets in the holes etc.Several TY175 owners locally are usuing a different cover off a non autolube YZ,(I think) that looks very smart and fits closely around the crank sprocket - really does tidy the clutch side up.
So maybe if enough people ask him there is a chance he would get some cast.He did say he knew where to get them done.
