Re: AMA licence fee for Trials riders
Turns out the $15 licence is no longer available, only the $55 version.

AMA licence fee for Trials riders
I went to renew my AMA licence this evening and the only option available is a $55 "All disciplines" option.
Last year I bought an "AMA MOTORCYCLIST CLASS D SOLO" licence for $15 but that no longer seems to exist.
So is the trials licence no longer a thing?

Forget the exhaust. I'm looking at those beautiful green paddocks! So nice.

Lathe way oil
I got a mini lathe some time back and have been using 5w fork oil on the ways and bare metal surfaces for lube and to keep surface rust away. Seems to be doing a good job at that so far, but wondering what others use.
I was going to buy proper way oil but it appears impossible to get unless you want ...

Spandex/Lycra pants
Looking to get some new trials pants and want something that is cool to wear (I'm talking about heat here, not looks). Can anyone tell me if their recent edition spandex/lycra pants are cooler to wear than the regular polyester/whatever trials pants.
Thanks, Jim

Re: 3D print your own Beta EVO mapping switch bracket
I have an Ender 3 printer. They're very popular and about AUD $300. To print these parts I'd recommend PETG filament or ABS. If you get a printer, be prepared for a world of variables (software settings, filaments, temperature settings etc), but I found it a lot of fun.

3D print your own Beta EVO mapping switch bracket
Yeah it's Sunday arvo and no riding so I'm hiding in the shed.
Following on from the cable guide, here's another 3D printable item that's specific to Beta EVO owners who want to mount their mapping switch to a name plate after removing the headlight.

3D print your own front brake cable guide
Hi all,
My Beta has the brake guide integrated into the headlight cowling. So of course when I put my name plate on...no guide.
My solution has been to print one. If you have a 3D printer, you can help yourself to one I designed that has the same press-on attachment as the original. This should work ...

Re: TY250D carby issues
If the carby clean doesn’t fix the problem then it’s likely you have a vacuum leak. Commonly, the crankshaft seal under the magneto will need replacing. A leaking seal will cause it to run lean, hence the need to use the choke. Regardless, any Yamaha dealer can fix your problem.
