TY250 mono grey import
I have been giving a new neighbour a hand getting his 84 TY250 mono running. He bought it 10 years ago and it has sat unused for the last 9 years. It is in very good condition and I have it running very nicely, but he wants to use it as a commuter ( I know ) but it is a grey import and has no ...

Replacement Motoplat Coil
Hi my 247's coil is dead - voltage in nothing out ( tested with condensor removed ). I have seen Sammy Millers offering and read several comments about Chinese replacements, does anyone have a brand name or supplier suggestion in Australia.

Re: Clutch Mods
Why is it that if there are six possible configurations I have to go through the five wrong ones first
Finally got it setup and in a word - brilliant! My clutch is now an easy 1 finger operation. I will keep an eye on the activator pin on the clutch in case there is too much wear, however the ...

Clutch Mods
Hi I have been on sideline for the last 6 months and only rolled out my TLR last weekend for a work out. Before I stopped I had an issue with hands locking up particularly on my Cota 247 which has a fairly heavy clutch. The activator arm is already about 4 inches long .
So I bought an "Easy Clutch ...

Re: holed fibreglass tank
This photo prior to sanding - I have since sanded and now have a presentable patch job it has come out better than I hoped and feels solid. I will give it a sealer external coat and worry about getting a pro-finish some time in the future.
Thanks for your advice on this

Re: holed fibreglass tank
Bedouin
I have decided to give it a try as i already have all the materials on hand.
When you say sand the centre piece do you mean the flap of fibreglass that was pushed in by the impact. Or should I cut that out and start with a neat hole?
Also the tank has been treated with KBS sealer. Will ...

Re: TLR Engine Reassembly
UPDATE - not long after last post the engine started to become very smoky - lots of heavy blue smoke and smell of oil. Initially it improved when warm but by the time I went down for the Coona trial in October it was pretty bad, lacking power and stalling too easily .

Re: holed fibreglass tank
I fitted an older tank used to be fine and bugger me if doesn't start to seep from a point about half way up the side
I am going to call on an expert to do the main repair - I just don't trust myself. Meanwhile I will try a tank liner on the older tank and see if that stops the seepage
