Hi my 247's coil is dead - voltage in nothing out ( tested with condensor removed ). I have seen Sammy Millers offering and read several comments about Chinese replacements, does anyone have a brand name or supplier suggestion in Australia.
Cheers

Re: Replacement Motoplat Coil
Are you sure there is nothing going in.
It is far more common to fail the bottom coil or have something go wrong with the points.
Have you done a resistance check of the coil with it disconnected?
Any motorcyle coil that is meant for a points magneto system will work. Your local bike shop should be able to get you a generic coil.

Re: Replacement Motoplat Coil
The local bike shop here sells MCS brand HT coils over the counter that work fine on my Bultaco M49 and also on a friend's TY175
