Tacho / Hour meter

Here is a great little hour meter that fits easily to your trials bike.
Why have a hour meter ? To keep track of how many hours between your last oil change, airfilter change, or engine refresh.
(Ossa owners will know their ignition records the running time automatically, but it looks like being ...

Fox Airline gloves for Trial

One of the things I am always looking out for are excellent gloves for riding Trials, that are readily available.
For many years I used a range of different types of gloves even when sponsored by Fox, and now that sponsorship has dwindled they have started producing a great glove that I am buying ...

Re: Cut out lanyards for trials bikes

Hi JB,
I wish they were around in 1982 when I rode my first club day, got the throttle jammed on the TY80 and it went flying off into a fence!.
Luckily for me it was in a quarry, and nobody was around to get collected.
I plan to come up to a SQTA event sometime soon, so it will be good to catch up ...

Re: Cut out lanyards for trials bikes

Hello Galps,
The lanyard rule is proposed with the aim of making trial safer, it is a safety feature, just like your helmet. It is not a attempt to be FIM compliant or follow the rest of the world etc
Every rider wears a helmet, every time they ride in a sanctioned event, and the lanyard will become ...

Re: Cut out lanyards for trials bikes

TerrY,
In the FIM rules the rider is scored a five for not having the lanyard attached.
The lanyard is a part of the riders safety equipment, which must be used in every section. It is the riders responsibility to ensure they have their lanyard on before the enter the section, in much the same way ...

Re: Cut out lanyards for trials bikes

Terri,
Great that see you were watching closely at the world trial...there is a explanation for what you witnessed ( I saw it from the bottom of that rock...here comes the bike!)
At the time of our world round last year, the FIM rule was poorly written, in that it said a lanyard cutout had to be ...

Re: Cut out lanyards for trials bikes

The MNSW trials committee suggested cut out lanyards be compulsory for all bikes, and it supporting the MA commission minute.

A cut out lanyard is the best engine cut out mechanism currently possible, and is suited to every rider in a trial competition, and when practising.
The reasons are numerous ...

I'm delighted to say that thanks to the power of Trials Australia web site, someone has super kindly come forward to be my minder for this event.
Thanks, and look forward to seeing everyone at the trial,

I fully support our World Trial, come enjoy it

I fully support the Australia round of the World Championship, which as a trials enthusiast, I think is incredibly good for Trial in Oz. It should be the best thing for Trial that has ever happened in Australia.

While I have not been involved in the mammoth tasks of organising the event, I have ...
