Hi Thomas,
If your looking for springs, try these guys : http://www.themagicals.co.uk/
I have bought a set of springs for my TY250B, but not yet fitted. A handful of members on various trials forums said they improved the TY - you may wish to research this yourself.
Hope this helps
Lachlan

Cheers David, I've got a set of TY forks off my "b" model that look similar condition to these - looks like there's hope for my forks after all!

Hey Tim,
Regarding the forks on your TY "dairy bike" - did you manage to re-chrome those? Or did you find better examples to use?
Cheers

Re: TY250 mono tyres
Hi Bird
IRC tube types would be the tyre of choice, but when I looked for them, nobody had them in stock. I spoke with the Australian importer who said they may never see them again as IRC were in financial difficulty and stopped producing the tyre.

Re: Parts from the UK ?
Ty Trials are great to deal with. I've received parts from them in 5-8 days for my previous orders.

Re: Fork bottles
I spent a lot of time trying to figure out the best clear coat for alloy parts, and came up with this. I have purchased the product (expensive) but not yet used.
It can be applied by brush and will dry smooth (apparently). It will apparently not yellow, and sets extrememly hard.

Re: TY250C resto questions
Quick update on the "B" -progress is a lot slower than I thought!
-I re-cut all the threads on the frame on the easter weekend
-colour sanded the original tank and shot a coat of clear over it (looks a little dodgy, but looks a lot better than an untouched 40 year old tank)
-Cleaned up the air box ...

Re: Fork tube repairs
Hi Pete
If you google "forks by Frank" there is a shop in USA that to my knowledge is the only place in the world that makes fork legs on a retail level.

Unfortunately the web site is ancient, and they dont appear to have an email, but Im sure you could call them. Im led to believe a fork leg ...

Re: TY250C resto questions
FM350 - thank-you for the information, this tubliss system looks SPOT ON -I had never seen this system until today
I have spent a bit of time researching it today, and it appears they can be run with trials tyres to 5psi, and act as a 360 degree rim lock so the tyre wont have a chance to burst off ...

Re: TY250C resto questions
Just got off the phone with the IRC importer - they are out of stock of IRC rear tube type trials tyres and cannot say when they will be back in stock. They have not submitted an order through for more. If they did order, they would have to sell them for more than a Michelin due to various economic ...
